Earlier this afternoon, the students of the Institute made oral presentations on the recent field visit to the Volta Region. The presentations form of the reports (written report, poster and oral) expected from the students following the field activities.
Today’s presentations highlight among other things the observed impacts of human activities on the environment, anthropogenic-induced environmental change and the challenges associated with natural resource management. The students also placed greater emphasis on the successes chalked in dealing with some of the aforementioned issues and provided recommendations on how to capitalise on existing opportunities such as the potentials of circular economy to change the status quo of environmental management in the country.
In all, eight (8) groups presented on various thematic issues including an overview and impressions of the field visit with the view of improving subsequent visits.
