Alvin Adu-Asare holds a degree in Geomatic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He was admitted to the MPhil Environmental Science programme in 2015.

He has knowledge in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information from his two years as research assistant on Remote Sensing and GIS at the University of Ghana.

He also served on a team that applied Geospatial technologies in biomass estimation and the mapping of water weeds on the Volta River. In this role he developed analytical skills, an ability to think critically and work in a team.
