The two-day SAFE4ALL Africa Project Technical Days, held at the Villa Boutique Hotel in Accra (March 27–28, 2025), brought together participants from academics, NGOs, government agencies, and the corporate sector to discuss climate resilience and food security in Ghana, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. Funded under the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, the initiative seeks to create community-driven, scalable solutions to reduce the effects of climate change, such as falling agricultural production and climate-induced migration. Presentations on the project's objectives, Ghana needs assessments, and hands-on workshops investigating AI-driven climate tools such the Uliza-WI chatbot and Drop App rounded out the two-day programme. Underlined by the need for inclusive, localised approaches to improve agricultural resilience and decision-making, breakout talks on data accessibility, foodshed mapping, and the Living Lab idea were used during the discussions. The seminar highlighted how important cooperation among stakeholders is in co-creating creative ideas for sustainable food systems in Africa.
