The UGPRP Team presenting the Awards to the Director of IESS

The University of Ghana Plastic Recycling Project (UGPRP) has been adjudged the Club/Society of the Year at the recently held University of Ghana SRC Excellence Awards.The Excellence Awards which came off on Tuesday June 4, 2019 at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana was intended to honor students for their active roles in promoting the image and activities of the University during the 2018/2019 academic year. The UGPRP beat other strong contenders to win the enviable position of the Club/Society of the Year 2018.

The elated UGPRP Team presented the awards to the Director and staff of the Institute during a staff durbar held at the International House Auditorium on Friday, June 14.

The UGPRP is a student-led initiative based at the Institute of Environmental and Sanitation Studies (IESS) and supported by the Vice-Chancellor’s Green Project.
