IESS staff retires after 42 years of service

Mr. Thomas Mintah Appiah, former Administrative Assistant in the Institute for Environment and Sanitation Studies (IESS) retired from active service in July this year after forty-two years of service to the University. Prior to joining the IESS, Mr. Appiah served at the Academic Affairs Directorate and the Faculty of Law. Having joined the University in 1972 as a clerk, Mr. Appiah rose through the ranks to the position of Administrative Assistant till he retired.
In a short ceremony to bid him farewell, the Director, staff and students of the Institute made a cash donation of GHc2, 000 to him to show appreciation for the services rendered the Institute over the years.
The donation was presented to him at the premises of the IESS by the Director on behalf of the Institute on Friday, August 8, 2014.
