The Academic Quality Assurance Unit (AQAU), University of Ghana organised a workshop on Pedagogical Skills for Research Fellows of the Institute for Environment and Sanitation Studies (IESS) on Friday, April 8, 2016.
Prof. Esther Sakyi-Dawson (Director, AQAU) indicated that the aim of the workshop was to develop the skills of participants for enhanced teaching and learning. There were five sessions during the workshop namely Academic Code of Conduct and Approaches to Teaching; Preparing a Course Syllabus using the University of Ghana Format; Developing Programme and Course Competencies; Developing and Writing Intended Learning Outcomes and Assessment of Student Learning respectively.

The facilitators for the workshop included Prof. Esther Sakyi-Dawson, Christiana Amoatey (Head, Dept of Crop Science), Prof. Chris Gordon (Director, IESS), Dr. Yaa Cole (Dept. of Teacher Education) and Dr. Ampadu (Dept. of Teacher Education).
Fellows of the Institute who participated in the workshop included Dr. Ted. Y. Annang, Dr. Elaine T. Lawson, Dr. Adelina M. Mensah, Dr. Jesse Sey Ayivor, Dr. Benjamin D. Ofori, Dr. Dzidzo Yireny-Tawiah, Dr. Benedicta Fosu-Mensah, Dr. Daniel Nukpezah, Dr. Opoku Pabi, Mr. Samuel S. Koranteng and Mr. Daniel A. Darko.
The workshop concluded with an evaluation session.
