IESS holds International Seminar on “Behavioral Science for a circular economy”

The Institute for Environment and Sanitation Studies held an international seminar on “Behavioral Science for a circular economy” on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. The speakers for the event were Prof. Shyama V. Ramani a serial academic entrepreneur who co-founded Tecknowmetrix, Voiron, France and Dr. Sanae Okamoto, a researcher at the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience at Maastricht University.

 

The seminar was centered on the Nudge principle which is a concept in behavioral science that uses reinforcement and indirect ways to influence behaviour. After the presentations, the participants were assigned into groups to work and present their findings under the selected topics.

In attendance were Research Fellows and students of the Institute and members of the University community.
