You are invited to submit a 250-word abstract (for a short paper/concept or business model) covering any of the following conference topics:
  • Environmental Assessment
  • Waste Management
  • GIS and its applications
  • Circular Economy
  • Green/Sustainability entrepreneurship
  • Climate smart agriculture
  • Smart environmental solutions
  • Pollution control and Water technologies

The Next G Conference seeks to create a platform particularly for the next generation thinkers and academics (young people) in the environment and sustainability fields to discuss and share ideas, research findings and innovative models on key aspects bordering on environment and sustainability issues. Innovative concepts, decision support tools and prototype technologies for climate resilience and waste management among others can be presented at the conference. Accepted papers/concepts will be published in a “Conference Proceedings”. Relevant papers will also be selected after the conference and published in a Special Issue of West African Journal of Applied Ecology. The conference will hold different sessions for “Paper Presentations”, “Sustainability Entrepreneurships Concepts” and “Poster Sessions”. A plenary session will climax the event.


At this stage, you are required to submit an abstract. Important timeliness for the submission of full papers among others have been provided in this call.

All accepted papers/abstracts will be published in a “Conference Proceeding”. Relevant papers will also be published in a special issue of the peer reviewed West African Journal of Applied Ecology.


Conference Fees

This is an online conference and fees will not apply. You will however be required to pre-register before you can join the conference online. Pre-registration details will be provided after the acceptance of your abstracts and before the conference date.

Submissions are invited for ORAL PRESENTATION or POSTER
Oral presentations will be allocated 15 minutes for oral presentation and audience discussion. A moderator will facilitate the time limits for discussion.  The poster is an effective method for communicating scientific information through informal discussion. Poster presenters will have the opportunity during breaks and a poster session approximately 1-1.5 hours)
Paper should not exceed 4,000 words including references (Time New Roman, 12, 1.5 line spacing, 2.5 cm margins)  Poster size A0 in portrait format (e-version)
Session reference and time of presentation will be communicated before the conference. Posters will be displayed online via zoom on the morning of the conference (7 – 8:15 am) and during poster sessions.


Submissions are ONLY accepted by e-mail to:

  • All Abstracts/papers must be submitted and presented in English.
  • Abstracts/papers should be based on any of the conference topics listed.
  • Abbreviations should be defined the first time they appear in your text. Example: GES (Ghana Education Service), before being used as an abbreviation only. Please, do not define or use abbreviations in the title.
  • Abstracts should not exceed 250 words. Authors should indicate their presentation preference: oral or poster in the subject line of their email. The Programme/conference committee reserves the right to decide on the final allocation and presentation method.
  • After submitting your abstract/paper, you will receive an email with your abstract ID.
  • If you encounter any problems during the submission process or you do not receive any confirmation by email please contact the chair of the conference organising committee:

  • The notification of acceptance/rejection of the abstract submitted will be sent to you via email by July 7, 2021.
