PhD Environmental Science Programme (2014/2015)

Ophelia Kaba-Ayamba is a PhD student at the Institute of Environmental and Sanitation Studies She holds a BSc degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology as well a  Master of Business Administration in (International Management of Resources and Environment) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Kumasi) in partnership with T. U. Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany) and a post graduate diploma certificate in Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management at Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Ophelia is interested in renewable energy, climate change, management of ecosystems for sustainable use and Environmental Management System.

Research work carried out include Ecosystem service benefits to farmers from the savannah woodlands in Northern Ghana with financial support from ASSAR.

Financing models for rural solar electrification in Northern Ghana at Master’s level and

Gap Analysis in Environmental Management System at Kpone Engineered Landfill Site.
