Principal Research Assistant
Mrs. Cecilia Datsa is an Urban Management professional with a specialization in Environmental and Municipal Solid Waste Management, trained at Erasmus University. She possesses strong skills in research design, data analysis, sanitation, community engagement, and addressing urban and rural environmental issues. She believes that achieving a clean environment depends largely on human attitudes toward waste and the ability to transform waste into valuable resources. Over the years, Cecilia has gained experience in project implementation, research communication, and building strong interpersonal relationships. Her research interests focus on behavioral change and sustainability, particularly exploring how waste can be repurposed and how the relationship between humans and the environment can be strengthened.
Research Areas
She investigates municipal solid waste management systems through the lens of the circular economy. By integrating community-based research methodologies, her work aims to develop sustainable waste strategies that mitigate environmental degradation and address the broader challenges of climate change.
